Hard luck to Eleanor Rogers but a huge thank you to everyone who took part. You were all brilliant.

Students, don’t forget to tell us what you think about science and engineering now you’ve taken part. Log in to your profile, and fill in the new questions!

Well what can I say?!.. Thank you very much guys and girls for asking me some very interesting questions but also voting and checking out my profile to save me from eviction!

The whole experience has been fantastic, I really enjoy engaging with you and answering your engineering/technology questions! I had exactly the same viewpoint when I started my career in engineering (when I picked GCSE engineering in secondary school!)

As you may know being the winner, I have been awarded £500. With this money I am going to create some practical examples of what engineering ‘is’ in the different areas such as programming/software, electrical, chemical, structural, mechanical engineering etc. then take them into schools.

I am doing this as I knew I was interested in engineering but didn’t know what all of the different sectors did and wished someone could have shown me practically, so I could see what interests me the most!

Again thank you very, very much and I hope that I get to call into your school/college to show you how fun engineering and technology can be!

    Take care,
    Andrew
