It’s continuously challenging and that is the hardest part. You basically need to think on new things all the time and also ideally they are simple and easy to implement. You need to be practical and creative at the same time so it’s not a easy job but it’s an extremely rewarding one!

I wouldn’t say it is hard as such as we engineers are generally supported by a great team. Being in a team is one of the reasons why and how engineers and their designs become a success.

If you lack knowledge, experience or competency in a certain area others will help you build it up to a level you are happy with! My weakness was the report writing side of engineering:)

I think studying to get the skills is quite hard work, you need to be dedicated to it, and if your aim in life is make max money for min effort this isn’t for you. Engineering suits people who want their work to be interesting and challenging.

But, I’d say it feels easy to me to be an engineer now I am trained. It’s like a way of thinking, and looking at the world, so once you have learned that it becomes your normal day-to-day life and feels very natural.
