• Question: What advice would you give out to teenagers that want to be apart of the Engineering Industry?

      I would say it is a vast area and try contacting some companies to see if you can be an intern or gain work experience so that you can see what part of engineering you enjoy the most!

      However you can, as an engineer, change disciplines more easily now as organisations want to please and get the most from their staff!

      This is a great thing to be a part of, and it’s going to continue to be a really good choice for your future. Lots of things are made overseas these days, but there’s still lots of engineering brains in the UK and Europe working out what to make and how.

      The best way to find out if it’s for you is to go and get some experience of that world right now – it doesn’t matter what year of education you’re in, you have half terms and holidays to go see if you find it fun or not. Is there an engineering firm near you will let you pop in for a day to see what it’s like?
