I think I will always be involved in engineering but I would like to create some practical in school workshops that actually show pupils what engineering is in a practical context.

I do some community projects and I think I will continue to do those, I could see one day that being a more formal job I did but I think I would want to carry on being an engineer too.
At the moment I help at a community energy group who want to install solar panels on buildings. In my previous city I ran a community garden. I’d be quite interested in being in a housing co-operative one day, that’s where a group of families work together to build their own houses and grow their own food. But wherever I go I will always be using my engineering skills!

how come you will always considered yourself within engineering… is it just a passion or is their anything else you would want to do bar from it?

It is a passion and mentally stimulating but it also gives you a fantastic lifestyle too!
