Question: How would you get around a bad experience with a teacher in these subjects if that was putting one off these?

  If it’s just that the teaching style isn’t right for you, you can try to find a different method to learn. I had a lecturer at University who was a lovely man but he taught a very technical subject using lots of stories and it confused me. I am more of a maths person and I just wanted to see the equations, so I looked those up myself using his lesson notes.
  
  But if it’s a disagreement with your teacher, maybe you need to have a chat with them and try and find out why you two don’t mix. Maybe you just haven’t understood each other very well yet?
