• Question: if a auto car was made to use a sensor or a GPS to use couldn't someone just edit the sensor or the coding to cause it to drive into someone? would the engineers need to think about the placement and security or is that for someone else is job

In theory yes. However there is a firewall which is a barrier which doesn’t allow anyone else to tamper, hack or modify a certain part. (this applies to the software).

If the sensor itself was to be messed around with the computer should continually monitor the device and if there is a fault or something on the end that the computer doesn’t recognise the car wouldn’t start up.

It works the same as imagine you waking up in the morning and thinking ‘oh my back hurts’ I must have been laid funny over night. I wont go to work/school today!
