• Question: What do you get out of engineering that you wouldn't get from any other kind of work?

      The biggest thing I get out of it, personally, is that I make real actual stuff.

      To me it is important that my ideas become physical objects; I can see that I achieved something. It makes me feel really good about what I do. If I worked in a written or digital job, and all my achievements were Word files on a computer, I would find it difficult to see that as “worth it”
